Possum damage to new spring foliage on Indian bead tree.
Fresh scars are visible where the new spring leaf growth has been bitten off. Ragged ends on the shoots are visible in several instances in the foreground and in the background (see silhouetted against the sky left of the centre branch).
This Indian bean tree (Catalpa bignonioides) has been severely damaged over successive years of possums eating foiage, flowers and seeds.
